Information on Participation in a Packaging Return System
With regard to the sales packaging that we fill with goods for the first time and distribute to private end consumers, our company has joined the return system of EKO-PUNKT GmbH (REMONDIS Group) in order to ensure compliance with and fulfillment of the legal obligations regarding packaging take-back systems.
On January 1, 2019, the German Packaging Ordinance was replaced by the Packaging Act.
The law requires manufacturers and distributors of packaging to register with the Central Packaging Register – LUCID), which independently manages the organization, implementation, and monitoring of the legal requirements.
The Packaging Act establishes requirements regarding product responsibility. Its purpose is to regulate the actions of obligated parties in such a way that packaging waste is primarily avoided and that unavoidable packaging waste is prepared for reuse or sent for recycling.
